Day 1

Your Johannesburg tour begins with a visit to the Constitution Hill Human Rights Precinct. The Constitution Hill houses the Constitutional Court of South Africa, one of the most progressive courts that has ruled on many cases.

Your history adventure continues in the afternoon to the Centre of Memory which can be found at the Nelson Mandela Foundation, a non-profit organisation started by Madiba. Here you will visit various exhibitions which focus on different themes.

In the evening, you will grab a drink at the coolest rooftop spot in Jozi. The Living Room is a rooftop oasis made up of ever-changing vertical gardens. Here you can enjoy the delicious meze and smoothies.


Day 2

This day you will embark on the full day Soweto City Tour as well as the Apartheid museum. You will spend your day exploring the most famous township in South Africa. You will be accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide for a visit to the renowned Apartheid Museum and huge Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital. You will also enjoy a buffet lunch of traditional local dishes.

The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure. Our team will be very happy to suggest activities to do this afternoon, or you can just rest and grab a drink in one of the bars in Jozi.


Day 3

This day you will visit the Cradle of Humankind, where you will get to discover the Cradle of Humankind Sterkfontein Caves and Maropeng Centre, one of the world’s most productive and archaeological sites. This is a well-known, well informative visitor destination and amazing experience not to be missed.

The afternoon and evening are yours to spend at leisure.


Day 4

You will get your adrenaline fix at the Orlando Towers on this day. This is the site of the world’s first bungee jump between two cooling towers. Other adrenaline junkie activities are available such as the 25-metre rock climbing course and the group paintball available at the bottom of the western cooling tower.

You will end your day evening by catching a jazz show at the Orbit. The Orbit is a warm bistro with serious jazz performances.


Day 5

This day you will visit the SAB World of Beer.  The two-time winner of the number one tourist attraction in SA, a SAB World of beer tour is a must for anyone fond of a cold one or just interested in the fascinating political and economic history behind our beloved brewery.  You will sample raw barley and hops, ask questions and fill up on interesting facts about the origins of beer drinking in SA. After the tour, you can do a beer tasting included in the ticket price or simply enjoy the views of Newtown from the tap room while sipping on two complimentary SABMiller Beers.

In the evening, you will head to Pata Pata for a burger, and then stay for the jazz. This popular 60’s themed jazz restaurant is filled with good people, good food and good music and serves traditional African inspired cuisine.


Day 6

Today will begin with a contemporary cool at Gallery MOMO to get your fix of the best contemporary South African and international art at Gallery MOMO, set in an airy Parktown house.

The next stop will be the Calton Centre to take in the view of Johannesburg from the tallest skyscraper in Africa. You will ride the elevator 50 floors up to see the awe-inspiring view from the top of the Carlton Centre.

Later in the day, you will get to grab a meal at The Potato Shed, a must visit with its incredibly delicious menu. Everything comes in huge portions and will satisfy your palate and you will get to enjoy unique dishes, including their signature biltong and wasabi crisps.


Day 7

The last day of the tour will begin at the Wits Origins Centre, a unique museum dedicated to celebrating the origins of humankind, including fascinating rock art. You will find this mind-blowing museum on the University of Witwatersrand campus. You will go on a journey dating back over 80,000 years with profound information about ancient art and culture. If interested, there is a “test your own DNA” tour on offer.

You will then visit the Military History Museum for fascinating military planes and other relics. This Museum is regarded as the symbolic home for all soldiers and veterans in South Africa.  You will see awe-inspiring artefacts from Umkhonto-we-Sizwe, the Anglo-Boer war, the Anglo-Zulu war and various other historical battles on display.

To end your fascinating Jozi escapade, you will visit Ubuntu Kraal Brewery in Soweto. This atmospheric brewery serves up excellent food and the Soweto Gold beer.
